What was frustrating about it? This question cannot be answered simply without this document. http://www.google.com/urlq=http%3A%2F%2Fmhhedrlin.weebly.com%2F&sa=D&sntz=1&usg=AFQjCNFHUpSoGmLsDNvP7MbKnfs4uqd-Ig The weeble assignments were frustrating as a bee hive swarming up my right pant leg while sleeping under an oak tree with the calm summer breeze. This course had its up and downs just as any class has. But for some reason this class was the hardest to tackle for me personally. Primarily, due to the course itself- Hawaiian History. Many people see its relevance in their lives, I do not consider myself one of these people. I had a Horrible Hawaiian History class in my younger years. It has been hard for me to snap out of the past and live in the present. Luckily for me, I had a great Hawaiian History teacher that made up for past mistakes.
In what ways do you feel the course was worthwhile (or not)? In the Beginning I felt as though this class had no purpose to in- increasing my knowledge or helping to establish useful information. But as the course progressed I had to complete this assignment. This assignment turned my point of view around. https://docs.google.com/a/myhta.org/document/d/1CmAOYJsW4e6PrbgmtFiem-nvfsjIVqcDnHSR3lg9djo/edit This document has instructed students to complete a Google Quiz. Up until the time in which I had to complete this assessment, I had no idea that such a thing existed. But with tutorials and cleaver navigation's I was able to successfully make a quiz. This may sound irrelevant or unimportant but it was a technical gain and a nice addition to my current knowledge on technology. This is just one example of many that I learned over the course of the year with this class.
What might you change about your level of engagement in this course if you had the chance to do the course again? I would change absolutely nothing, other than- my attitude towards the course, classmates comments, working on assignments ahead of time, trying to figure out a way not to do this assignment...Okay, I guess there is a few minor details that I can attend to if I am ever unfortunate enough to take this class over again. I recently submitted this assignment which was a simple document but it had what I thought to be everything needed for a well received paper and a decent grade. To say the least I utterly failed it like all of my relationships...Anyways, it turns out that I had not included all that I thought was kosher and I was missing a lot of information. https://docs.google.com/drawings/d/1lFfMPXv8Z3A0FVKIrUA6ME3HU3HXuzRA3o-XlDXoSA0/edit So instead of thinking about myself with a hand mirror a perfectly centered right comb I instead thought about my teacher and her expectations. If I was one of the poor souls that had to take this course again before I leave this earth than I decided I would change nothing. That's right. Plot twist. I would change absolutely nothing to make sure that I would have the same outcome that I now have. Why mess with past if you are content with the present? I would make a few minor tweaks but other than that, I am satisfied with my year and career in Hawaiian History.
